Looking back at 2025 at Livit…

A Season of Sunshine and Simple Joys at Livit

As summer draws to a close here at Livit in North Devon, we’ve been reflecting on what has been one of our most rewarding seasons yet. It’s been a summer filled with sunshine, families coming together, and plenty of new additions to make our glamping site even more special.

Upgrades to the Glamping Site

This season we introduced brand new tents, giving our guests even more choice when booking their glamping holiday in Devon- these tent then get replaced yearly to keep that fresh feeling. Each tent now comes with thoughtful touches, including new coolboxes to keep everything fresh and—our favourite—freshly ground coffee to make mornings that little bit brighter.

Yoga, Coffee & Calm

We wanted to create more opportunities for guests to slow down, so this year we added yoga sessions on-site by Chloe & Yoga. Surrounded by the Devon countryside, they are becoming a lovely way to start the day. Our new coffee tuk-tuk is also a big hit, quickly becoming a hub for morning chats and caffeine top-ups before heading out to explore the coast. Expect this to be the daily norm for next season! We’re aiming to get some locally sourced pastries/buns from Appledore Bakery to really up the game.

Surfing in Devon – Fun for All Ages

One of the highlights of the season was expanding our surf lessons in North Devon. Watching kids catch their first waves at Westward Ho! beach was a reminder of why we love sharing this place with others. Its been really lovely watching our guests at camp get involved in surfing too. A real wrap around feel to the holidays! With plenty of great quality kit to chose from at the campsite, guests were able to hire as and when they wanted which lead to plenty of beach days!

Sunshine, Fresh Flowers & Homegrown Food

We couldn’t have asked for better weather- plenty of sunshine, barely any wind, and long evenings perfect for sitting out under the stars. Our flower patch thrived this year, and for the first time we were able to provide each tent with fresh flowers for every stay (despite our little one picking them all when given the chance). Meanwhile, our vegetable and herb garden supplied produce for our pizza nights in Devon, making each evening feel both homegrown and celebratory.

Pancakes, Pizza & Family Gatherings

Speaking of food, American style pancakes with fruit or bacon and maple syrup were a new addition to our breakfast menu this season, quickly becoming a favourite with kids (and adults alike!). Combined with our wood-fired pizza nights, food became a central part of many stays—bringing families and groups together in a relaxed, sociable way. Its our aim to increase this offering next year so that midweek stays can benefit from this offering too.

More Affordable Stays in Devon

We also made a conscious choice to lower our prices this year, so that more people could enjoy a family-friendly holiday in Devon without it breaking the bank. The response has been wonderful—we’ve seen an increase in family get-togethers, reunions, and multigenerational holidays, all making memories in our little corner of the coast. We took a gamble and decided to not charge for beds for kids and it’s really paid off. Families of up to five can now enjoy our tents without having to pay extra for their children to join them!

The Balance of Family and Work

Running a glamping site while raising children can be a challenge at times, but it’s also deeply rewarding. There have been moments of juggling, but also countless moments of joy—watching our little one grow up alongside the business, helping out in small ways, and sharing in the community spirit that Livit has become known for.

Looking back, we’re so grateful—for the sunshine, for the laughter, and for every guest who chose to spend their holiday in Devon with us this season. Thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Livit Adventures for more glamping, surfing, yoga, and simple coastal living in 2026.
